Clim Studio collaborated with Hornet and Facebook to create a new visual language for the platform’s Major Life Events tool — a feature designed to help users share important life moments even when they did not have the right photo to accompany them. The challenge was to build an animated system that could feel emotionally expressive and varied, while still working naturally inside the feed without becoming distracting or visually noisy.

We developed a library of 40 animated assets, including category animations and sentiment-based loops for emotions such as gratitude and grief. Each piece was carefully designed to feel subtle, alive, and relatable, striking the right balance between stillness and motion. The result was a flexible in-product content system that gave Facebook users a richer, more thoughtful way to communicate meaningful moments on the platform.

An animated graphic library to be used by the platform's users.

Sentiments.
